A new family of biodegradable and functional amino acid-based poly(ester amide)s (AA-PEAs) have been designed and synthesized as a new generation of biodegradable biomaterials for biomedical applications. This paper provides an overview of this new generation of biodegradable biomaterials, their design strategy, synthesis, characterization, unique biological property and eventual biomedical applications. AA-PEAs are synthesized from 3 basic building blocks: amino acids, fatty diols and fatty diacids. Due to the enormous variety of these 3 building blocks, a wide range of AA-PEAs could be tailor-designed for meeting specific clinical needs. These AA-PEAs have been engineered into a variety of physical forms ranging from 3D microporous hydrogels, melt-spun fibers, electrospun fibrous membranes, films and microspheres. All these AA-PEAs have shown 2 unique biological properties: support natural wound healing, and muted inflammatory response.

The polycaprolactone (PCL) known for its slow biodegradability shows potential applications in the field of skin scaffold production. In the current study PCL mats with micro scaled structure were produced via electrospinning and treated with NaOH solution for enhanced cell adhesion. The scaffolds were evaluated as an efficient stem cell growing material by human skin keratinocytes and fibroblasts culture. The cell viability assay (CellTiter-Blue) of the as spun scaffolds was compared with previously prepared PU electrospun scaffolds, fibrin scaffolds and amniotic membrane scaffold. Significant difference in cell adhesion was evident between the natural and synthetic scaffolds. As far as the electrospun scaffolds were concerned the significance between, as well as for the NaOH treated, samples was less evident. The repetition of different donor cells fluorescence within the same scaffold material was also present.

Modern design of business wear should not only meet the functional requirements, but also meet the fitness and aesthetics requirements. Research done in clothing companies show that unfitness has currently become an obstacle to the development of business wear enterprise. This paper points out the problem and the design needs of an enterprise business jacket. From pattern to design method and ease design as two aspects for further research, it is proposed that based on human characteristics of the business jacket pattern to the design ideas, and through the samples wearing effects, evaluation should be carried out to determine the exact ease and relevant parts that are free of business jacket. This study aims to put forward business jacket pattern designs to provide a new method and for such wear design and distribution of ease to provide a reference basis, which acts as full of theoretical and practical values.

In this paper, a kind of microcapsule containing phase change material of n-octadecane was successfully synthesized based on in situ polymerization where trimethylol melamine and hexamethylol melamine were shell materials. We used different emulsification time, reaction time and different treatment to improve the quality of the microcapsules. The microcapsule and coated fabric were characterized by the optical microscope, Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM), laser diameter distribution machine and Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC). The optical microscope and SEM pictures showed that this microcapsule has good surface configuration. Particle size with laser diameter distribution machine displayed that grains of the microcapsule were distributed evenly. The DSC results revealed the phase- changing temperature and enthalpy of the microcapsule.

This paper implements efficient techniques for cloth simulation in the area of cloth model, numerical integration, collision detection and response. The whole procedure combines the accurate bending model with implicit integration and collision response. Collision response remains a serious difficulty in cloth simulation, especially with implicit integration. We propose a general scheme that integrates collision response into implicit models recovering most of the nice draping movements of the cloth. Collision detection between human body and cloth is accelerated by Axis Aligned Bounding Box (AABB). A cloth draped on a human model is tested for the combined techniques we put forward. Experimental results reveal that this procedure is suitable for the accurate cloth simulation which preserves folds and wrinkles. The scheme that combines implicit integration and two-stage collision response is efficient for cloth simulation.

In this paper, microcapsules were produced by complex coacervation using gelatin and acacia as wall materials and olive oil as the core substance. Process parameters, such as the dosage of the crosslinker, concentration of the wall materials, pH Value and the ratio between core and wall materials were analyzed in detail. Moreover, crosslinking degree of wall materials was more important in obtaining good slow release microcapsules. The morphology and particle size distribution of the microcapsules were analyzed by scanning electron microscope and laser particle size analyzer. The oil content and the release rate of the olive oil were also studied. In order to obtain microcapsules with good mobility and dispersal, a spray drying process was used to dry the product. The olive oil microcapsules were obtained with particle size of 3 ∼ 8 μm, and an oil content of about 60%. The optimum process parameters were as follows:dosage of the cross linking agent was 3 ml, the concentration of wall materials was 3%, the pH value of coacervation was 4.0 and the ratio of core/wall material was 1:1. Olive oil microcapsules prepared with these optimal process conditions had good disperse effect and high encapsulation efficiency.

This research carries out non-touched anthropometric measurements on 200 male university students aged from 19-26. 10 measurements relevant to the body neck were drawn in considering the necessary measurements in the pattern design of the fashion collar, This research utilizes the SPSS software to carry out a frequency distribution analysis and cluster analysis for the sample. 5 characteristic indices were elected in a statistical approach. These characteristic indices provide more reference measurements to the structural design of the men's fashion collar, it can be used to serve as the establishment of specification series for men's wear and for ready-to-wear production.

In this research, 100 female students aged from 18 to 24 years old were selected to take part in the body measurement. Data acquisition software named Imageware with a 3D scanner was employed to gain the body point-cloud diagram. Then, the characteristics of the young female lower body torso have been analyzed according to the data obtained. The regression of the key parts of women skirts and the characteristics of young female lower body torso has been found. Finally, the generating rules of the basic pattern of women skirts were established, which provides the foundation for auto-generation of skirt pattern.

This paper mainly studies computer automatic measurement of cashmere diameter and area of cashmere fiber scales. It firstly uses Matlab7.0 to do simulation experiments to determine the appropriate image processing program that is suitable for fiber images obtained under optical microscope. The workflow of image processing includes image format conversion, image denoising, image segmentation, binarization, extraction of fiber edge and modificatory process. After image processing, it obtains the necessary binary image needed by the automatic measurement of parameters. The binary image is the basis of diameter and scale-area measurement of cashmere. This paper designs sub-measurement algorithm to achieve the automatic measurement of fiber diameter and pixel-measurement through pixel-by-point scanning to achieve the automatic measurement of area of cashmere fiber scales. It eliminates the error caused by the influence of man-made factors and improves the accuracy of the measurement, which lays the foundation of automatic identification.

The dynamic moisture absorption of fractal polyester was studied at a constant temperature (30 °C) and humidity (80% RH). The model of heat and moisture transfer was then built based on the heat and mass transfer theories. Finite element method was used to solve the model. By comparing the moisture absorption predicted by the mechanism model and the experimental data, we concluded that variations trend of both were consistent. Besides, fields of temperature and humidity with different thickness of fractal polyester were predicted and analyzed by this model.
